today we had our math twice... so this is...

before we started, Mr. H asked us to glue and shade the grid/squares that we have to put in the big paper. Then when we were done, he taught us how to find 1% and 10%. Here's how we did it:
these things that im going to show should be in the "How to find 1%" column in the big paper.

this square is a 100%, so to get the value of each square you have to divide 100 to 100 (100/100=1) so the value of each square is 1. you can use equivalent fraction so you will know if your answer is right or wrong. checking: divide the shaded squares to 100(shaded squares/100=decimal) after that divide the another fraction which is the value of the square/s divided by the representing number. then the answer of the two fraction should be the same. if it's the same your answer is right.


this square represents 500. to find the value of each square/s you should:


then after we did that, Mr. H asked us to find the 5%, 12% and 86% of 500:

these things should be in the "how to find 10%" column in the big paper
this is the same as the box that I've shown before, but here you supposed to divide 100 to 10 because the squares that are shaded are 10. 100/10=10 or 10% beacuse we were making 10 equal groups.

this box represents 500, so we need to find the value of each square. like what i said before you have to divide 500 to 100 and you're going to multiply it by 12 (500/100=5x10=50) because there are 10 squares that are shaded. so the value of each squares is 50. there is also a different way to find the value of the squares:500/10=50

these are the answers on how to find 20%, 70% and 5% of 500:

ooppss... by the way before i forgot.. i've made a mistake on those grids i put 110 squares instead of 100.. sorry guys! i didnt notice! i can't edit it because it's too late!
