PART ONE .
1: P(red)
answer : 1/5 ( one out of five )
2: P(green)
answer : 1/5 ( one out of five )
3: P(blue or white)
answer : 2/5 ( two out of five )
4: P(not yellow)
answer : 4/5 ( four out of five )
5: P(not red)
answer : 4/5 ( four out of five )
6: P(blue or red or yellow)
answer : 3/5 ( three out of five )
PART TWO .
this is what we use when writing probability fractions.
(find each probability if you spin the spinner ONCE.)
{ 1: P(red) } P= 1(P.O.) over 5(T.P.O.)
The probability that it will land on red is 1/5 because red is ONE of the FIVE colours there. The other colours are yellow, blue, white, and green.
{ 2: P(green) } P= 1(P.O.) over 5(T.P.O.)
The probability that it will land on green is 1/5 also because green is one of the five colours.
{ 3: P(blue or white) } P= 2(P.O.) over 5(T.P.O.)
The probability that it will land on blue or white is 2/5 because blue & white are two of the 5 colours.
{ 4: P(not yellow) } P= 4(P.O.) over 5(T.P.O.)
The probability that it will land on any colour but yellow is 4/5 because there are 4 other different colours than yellow.
{ 5: P(not red) } P= 4(P.O.) over 5(T.P.O.)
The probability that it will land on any colour but red is 4/5 because there's 4 other colours than red.
{ 6: P(blue or red or yellow) } P= 3(P.O.) over 5(T.P.O.)
The probability that it will land on either blue, red, or yellow is 3/5 because there are 2 other colours than that.
PART 3 .

1: purple
2: orange
answer:
1: 1/3
2: 1/3
